Hassle the Minister
Fight the BusShit with Politics

I will add more ideas as they come but to start with we must take the fight to the Minister.
Threatening strike action is not effective because too many will just ignore it and take advantage of striking drivers absence.
Firstly email the minister at Minister.Buswell@dpc.wa.gov.au
Explain your professional and personal situation.   It is the duty of members of parliament to reply to all correspondence.   This will jam up his staff that will then get the message across to him, perhaps.
I would also suggest writing to your own local MP.    The message is – ‘as a driver you are also a voter and you speak with many voters every day and you will discourage support for the government with every chance you get’.
Talk to other drivers and get them to do the same.
We do not have a broadcast facility so we must use what we have at hand which is a narrowcast opportunity.   We have our personalities and word of mouth.   Explain our industry to the people and let them become involved in our cause which is also their cause.
eg
If the government increase taxi numbers they will only be able to get low par drivers who will then give low par service.   More is not the answer.  Better is the answer and better will not happen when the many capable drivers are forced out of the industry because of low income from oversupply.
Our fight is their fight.   The good drivers and the good passengers are getting screwed while the government, Swan taxis and the never ending supply of no hoper drivers profit.
Government profits from license fees.
Swan Taxis profits from Rank (radio) fees and training drivers.
The no hopers are depriving us of income they shouldn’t have access to (we are forced to income share with people who are bringing the reputation and goodwill of the industry down).
